Our staff salary and benefits package is very competitive and we work on an incremental salary scale. Our incremental salary system means that you will receive a pay increase, within our grading band every year subject to performance.
In addition to our incremental salary system we have a great benefits package that is available to our employees:
Benefits package
Annual Leave
Full time employees are entitled to 32 days leave in addition to bank holidays. Entitlement for colleagues working on a reduced schedule is pro rata, i.e. the same percentage of time that you work.
Pension
The Legacy Corporation is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) which is administered by the LPFA. On joining the Corporation, staff are automatically opted into this scheme. Your contributions are based upon your earnings and LLDC contribute 12%.
You cannot change the amount you contribute but you can opt for a 50/50 option. This allows you to reduce your contributions to pay half the contribution you would pay and in return you will receive half the pension amount in your pensions account.
Health and Wellbeing
Healthcare
LLDC pays for corporate membership for all employees to the Benenden Health Society. Members to the Society are able to access a wide range of discretionary services to support and enhance the services offered by the NHS.
Benenden provide the following services:
- 24/7 GP advice line
- 24/7 psychological wellbeing helpline
- Health concern support
- Independent care advice service
- Diagnosis and treatment services
Members are also able to add family members to this scheme at their own cost.
Employee Assistance Program
No matter when or how often you need them the Employee Assistance Helpline is there to help. This employee assistance program is a confidential service offered to all employees, providing you expert advice, invaluable information and specialist counselling and support.
Eye care
LLDC will reimburse the cost of eye testing and offer a contribution to frames and lenses if needed for DSE (Display Screen Equipment) use.

Season ticket loan
We can provide an interest-free season ticket loan to employees, as part of our work to encourage sustainable transport options for work travel.
Cycle scheme
If trains and buses aren’t your thing, why not cycle to work? Through our cycle to work partner www.cyclescheme.co.uk LLDC can offer employees an interest-free loan to purchase a bike and the safety equipment that you need while on the road. (We also have fabulous cycle storage facilities and changing rooms in our offices!)
Santander Bikes
We have an agreement with TfL whereby LLDC employees can use Santander Bikes for free. Perfect for quick trips across the Park!
Family and Home
Parental leave
LLDC pay above the statutory for both maternity, shared parental, adoption and paternity leave.
Childcare Fee Loans
The LLDC offers staff an interest-free loan to help pay for up-front childcare fees that have to be paid in advance to an Ofsted registered childcare provider.
Home Working
We work Hybrid as standard and can offer financial assistance with the cost of your home working set up.
Tenancy Deposit Loans
LLDC can provide an interest-free Tenancy Deposit Loan to employees who have passed their probation period. The loan works much like a season ticket loan and repayments will be deducted from the employee’s pay over 11 months after the loan has been issued.
Saving Money
Employee savings portal
Employees have access to the employee savings via Benenden. You will be able to buy gift cards at discounted rates from a range of retailers such as M&S and John Lewis. More information can be found online at www.benenden.co.uk or on the app.
'Extras'
We are also able to sign up for Employee Discounts or enroll for a Byond pre-paid cashback card via 'Extras'. Extras discounts give you access to discounted gift cards for a range of retailers. Byond is a pre-paid card which gives you up to 12% cashback on over 70 retailers, both online and in store.

Giving back
Volunteering leave
In addition to your annual leave, all LLDC employees are entitled to three days volunteering leave (this will be pro rata’d for part time employees).
