Trick or Treat this Halloween at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Trick or Treat this Halloween at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Story 25/10/2022

It's spooky season here at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

From Halloween parties and spiralling slides to bottomless brunches and unlimited wings, we've rounded up the best trick-or-treat experiences for you to enjoy at the Park this Hallows Eve.

Trick

Head over to The Gantry located in East Village for their ABBA - Halloween dinner and party. Indulge in a mouth-watering buffet featuring lamb moussaka croquettes and fluffy pumpkin spiced doughnuts before hearing the best and most iconic ABBA hits performed by a live tribute band. The fun doesn't stop, with a DJ playing your favourite Halloween hits from 11pm into the night. ‘Dressed to Impress’ is the theme, with guests having a chance to win an exciting prize and be crowned with the best-dressed title.

Spiral down the rabbit hole

Experience a Halloween with a twist - meet Alice, The White Rabbit, Tweedledum and Tweedledee and the infamous Cheshire Cat, whilst taking in the best skyline views of the city at the Alice in Wonderland experience at the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

If that's not thrilling enough for you, plunge into darkness and take on The Slide. With 12 twists and turns, a devilish corkscrew section, and speeds up to 15mph, you'll be sure to leave with your heart racing.

Enter the supernatural

Experience a night of fun and mischief at the Haugen this Halloween. On 29 October, the alpine-inspired restaurant will transform into the mysterious Shaman's Lair, a dark den full of secrets, eerie magic and thrilling revelry. Enjoy views of the night-time Park on the heated rooftop and dance well past the witching hour to the hottest house music from 8:30pm to 03:00am.

Treat

Champagne galore

Who said that Halloween has to be all about blood and gore? Grab your pals and head to Barge East for a bottomless brunch like no other. Hop on board this 120-year-old barge and enjoy a 2-3 course meal from their set Saturday lunch menu, made with homegrown ingredients from their very own gardens. For an extra £20pp, upgrade and indulge in 90 minutes of free-flowing bubbly and Bloody Marys! You can't say no to this.

Treacle treat

Too old for trick or treating? Why not treat yourself and delight in an ice cream or waffle from Dessert Ice Cream Club. Nestled along Tessa Jowell Boulevard, this foodie kiosk serves the best in soft-serve ice creams and waffles. Choose from their enticing menu or create your own masterpiece, you're bound to enjoy. We recommend the Lotus Biscoff Club or the Eton Mess Bubble Waffle.

Spellbinding sauce-ery!

Yes, Halloween may be on a Monday, but it's not all bad. Tuck into the best chicken wings on the Park at Randy's Wing Bar. Located at Canalside near Here East, this American-styled restaurant is known for its award-winning wings and sauces. From the saucy Buffalo to the sticky Kansas BBQ and Korean-inspired Gangnam wings, Randy's will leave you wanting more. So, treat yourself this Halloween and see what the hype is about.

Did we mention on Monday, it's all-you-can-eat?
