The Tom Daley Diving Academy will begin operation at the London Aquatics Centre - home to where Tom Daley trains as part of his British Diving High Performance Programme - before being introduced at other GLL managed facilities across London and the UK.

The Tom Daley Diving Academy will be available in three types of facilities: 

• Fundamental Centres: delivering beginner courses for children to learn the fundamentals of the sport
• ‘Learn to Dive’ Development Centres: to deliver beginner and improver classes for children and adults
• Academy Centres: delivering all levels of the programme up to competitive diving

Dennis Hone, Chief Executive, London Legacy Development Corporation, said, “We’re delighted that people can follow in the footsteps of Tom Daley and take diving lessons in the iconic London Aquatics Centre. This is what the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games were all about: inspiring people to take up new sports. I can’t think of a bigger inspiration than training in the same pool that Tom himself uses and a venue that will host the FINA/NVC 2014 World Diving Series later on this month.”
