It has never been so easy to get to the Park, with a regular and speedy seven minute train journey from St Pancras International to Stratford International. With funfairs, active sports sessions and even the world’s tallest tunnel slide, we’re full of inspiration to keep the kids entertained this February.
Taking place throughout the entire half term break, the popular funfair will take over Stratford Waterfront for two weeks. Bringing a collection of exciting and adrenaline-fuelled rides, children can prepare for hours of energy-filled fun with roller coaster, dodgems and carousels galore. Taking place from Saturday 4 – Sunday 19 February (apart from 6, 7 and 8 February), the funfair will open from 12 midday – 9pm. Please note there is an entrance charge of £1 per person, although it is free for under 3’s. The rides operate on a token system, which are available to purchase at the funfair for £1.20 per token or £10 for 10. Wristband days will also be available on Thursday 9 and 16, for unlimited rides between allocated times.
Why not bring the family to London Aquatics Centre and duck, jump, run and dive off the large inflatable obstacle course at the AquaSplash and Extreme AquaSplash sessions. Take your dad-dancing to the next level and show them your combat moves on the hilarious water obstacle course. Places are filling fast, so make sure you book in advance and bring the whole family down this February. Please note, children must be aged 5 and above to take part in the AquaSplash and aged 8 and above for Extreme AquaSplash.
The ArcelorMittal Orbit is open for action every day during half term, from 11am – 5pm on weekdays and 10am – 6pm on weekends. The adventure starts with a journey up to the podium, hovering 114.5 metres above the ground for stunning skyline views of London glistening in the winter light. The fun distorting mirrors are popular with kids (and big kids alike) as they turn the view upside down and stretch your head to five times the size! Furthermore, let our touchscreens educate the young ones as we point out popular facts about the popular London attractions that make up the stunning London skyline.
Why not take the slide back down to Earth in the attraction that Time Out London deemed the number 1 ‘thing to do’ in 2016? The Slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit takes riders on an exhilarating ride through 12 twists, loops and curves in the 178 meter long tunnel, which makes it both the highest and longest tunnel slide in the world.

Bring your pride and join the crowds as the London Lions, London’s only professional basketball team, have two huge matches over February half term. Tipping off against Leicester Riders on Sunday 12 February and DBL Sheffield Sharks on Wednesday 15 February, the Lions are bound to get the crowd pumped in the atmospheric Copper Box Arena. So grab your tickets, practise your 'roar' and come along to the Box That Rocks. If you're a hardcore basketball fan, then why not join some of the professional team players at the half term basketball camp on Monday 13 February? Children aged between 7-16 are welcome to come along to perfect their dribbling and three pointer while getting stuck in with some epic team challenges.
