The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is offering a unique and exciting opportunity to appoint a team of consultants to assess how residents feel about their emerging neighbourhoods as places to live, and how their homes perform environmentally, to ensure those who call Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park home continue to experience a great quality of life and living standards for years to come.

Through post-occupancy evaluation (POE), the consultant team will help LLDC understand better how the first three neighbourhoods on the Park at Chobham Manor and East Wick and Sweetwater are performing and working as residents move into their new homes. 

The work will cover phases 2-4 at Chobham Manor, LLDC’s first neighbourhood, a multi-award winning housing development, which notably won the 2019 Mayor’s Prize at the New London Awards, and phase 1 of East Wick and Sweetwater.

LLDC is one of the first organisations to be carrying out POE at this scale. The consultant team will need to bring together a range of specialist skills, with an emphasis on an engagement led approach, involving residents in the rollout of the study, and ensure a good level of response. 

The scope will also include building performance evaluation, resident surveys, focus groups, in-home interviews, monitoring, and collecting meter data to ensure that the study is brought together in a robust way so that meaningful conclusions can be drawn.

This project follows on from a POE pilot study on phase 1 of Chobham Manor which is ongoing and due to complete at the end of 2021. The pilot has produced a resident survey and methodologies which will serve as a starting point for this new commission. 

To date, LLDC has delivered approximately 500 homes at Chobham Manor with a further 380 due to be completed by March 2022 in phases 3 and 4. At East Wick and Sweetwater, phase 1 will deliver 302 of a projected 1800 new homes in the wider development.
