LLDC has launched a competition to find an organisation to manage and develop an exciting new facility, the Good Growth Hub based at Hackney Bridge on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. 

Building on the success of the LLDC’s East Works programme, the Good Growth Hub will connect local people and employers through a wide range of services including apprenticeships, internships, training bursaries, pre-employment bootcamps, careers coaching advice and guidance, specialist skills training, support for freelancers and tailored business support. The GGH will focus on developing talent for the growing creative, cultural and technology sectors in and around the Park, but will have the flexibility to respond to other growth sectors over time.

The successful organisation will manage the physical space and coordinate the wide range of training and support programmes on offer.

Michelle May, Director of Inclusive Growth, Education and Skills at LLDC, said: ““The LLDC has an ambition to make Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park a truly inclusive Innovation District with local, diverse talent at its heart.  To achieve this we are making a significant investment over the next 5 years to establish a Good Growth Hub, an exciting new space at Hackney Bridge, which will be an exemplar in the design and delivery of demand-led skills training. We are now seeking an organisation, who shares our vision and passion, to work with us and our Borough and employer partners to establish the Hub and its services and to ensure that local people have access to opportunities in some of the fastest growing sectors in the country, whether that be at Here East, East Bank or beyond.”

Businesses are invited to take part in a webinar on June 8 to find out more about the scheme and to ask more detailed questions before a formal application process begins.
