The Legacy Communities Scheme – the London Legacy Development Corporation’s proposals for the regeneration of the Park – was granted outline planning permission last year. The scheme includes 6,800 new homes across five new neighbourhoods. Chobham Manor will be the first neighbourhood to be developed.

Now, Chobham Manor LLP – a partnership of leading national housebuilder Taylor Wimpey and L&Q, one of London’s largest residential developers – have submitted a Zonal Masterplan for approval by The Legacy Corporation’s Local Planning Authority.

The submission of the Zonal Masterplan follows public consultation events held earlier in the year. Further events will be held in the summer, where the public will be able to view, and comment on, detailed proposals to be included in the reserved matters application for the first phase of new homes at Chobham Manor.

“This scheme is going to create a new benchmark for the quality of family homes in east London. We will create well-designed, energy-efficient homes for people on a range of incomes.”

Families in the new homes and surrounding communities will be supported by two nurseries, two multi-purpose community spaces, neighbourhood shops and the nearby Chobham Academy School.

Chobham Manor will be within walking distance of Stratford International Station and Stratford Regional Station which offer 10 lines to a third of London’s rail and underground stations.

The first new homes are anticipated to go on sale in early 2015 at Chobham Manor, which will be located between the East Village and Lee Valley VeloPark at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
