LLDC SEEKS SUPPLY CHAIN VIEWS ON FUTURE OPERATIONAL CONTRACTS

LLDC SEEKS SUPPLY CHAIN VIEWS ON FUTURE OPERATIONAL CONTRACTS

Press Release 24/08/2021

  • Key operational contracts for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park due for renewal
  • LLDC seeks interest from supply chain on how services could be delivered
  • Contracts include management of London Aquatics Centre, Copper Box Arena and ArcelorMittal Orbit as well as security, facilities management, horticulture, car park services and volunteering.

The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is seeking the views of contractors on the renewal of several high value contracts for the operation of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The contracts cover facilities management across the Park, security for the Park, public realm and London Stadium, horticulture and grounds maintenance, car park operations, volunteering and venue management including prestigious sites like the London Aquatics Centre, Copper Box Arena and the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

Many of the contracts were originally let almost 10 years ago and will be due for renewal over the next few years. The Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) published today (23 August, 2021) will help LLDC to gauge the level of interest from suppliers in the new contracts, how those contracts should be shaped and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on service delivery.

Lyn Garner, Chief Executive of LLDC, said: “These prestigious and high value contracts are critically important to the long-term legacy of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We have had excellent suppliers to date delivering great services in challenging times. But it is now right that we should get the views of suppliers on how we can improve the contracts to drive the highest quality delivery and the best value for money for the taxpayer and the greatest benefit for local communities.”

The MSQ can be found by clicking here or on the Delta E-Procurement portal here.
