As part of Summer on the Park, and starting the day after The Great Get Together, we are bringing you the ‘Celebrating 10 Years’ Festival Site from Sunday 24 July to Monday 8 August, offering a mix of FREE screen and stage entertainment at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.Find the full schedule here.

We’ve not held back. Expect nail-biting elite sport, mass karaoke, movies, and for some added nostalgia, relive London’s iconic summer of sport - with footage of Team GB and Paralympics GB winning gold, silver and bronze at the London 2012 Games, not forgetting highlights such as Super Saturday and the ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We then burst back into present day with live footage of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games from 11am until 9pm, completely live. Remember that the track cycling is taking place at Lee Valley VeloPark from 29th July to 1st August inclusive, so expect something special for cycling enthusiasts.

In addition to the screen, immerse yourself in a line-up of off-screen activities. We’re talking; fitness workshops, The Tumbleator (a giant conveyer belt), live performances from UK Skiffle-Pop band Thrill Collins, as well as some other great bands and live DJs. Plus loads of Instagram-friendly experiences, including a giant walk-in statue by disability rights activist Jason Wilsher-Mills and a Massaoke – Like karaoke but for loads of people!

Come along with your friends, family, and workgang, for a once-in-a-decade event. Kicking off the Summer Holidays, kids are welcome throughout the festival period and there is plenty for them to do during the day. There will be garden games and other participatory activities, a family rave (with phat beats no less), and Wonderstruck will be performing their crazy science show (they’re going to blow up a bowl of cereal). Bikeworks will be exhibiting a grupetto of unusual bikes – including one that makes smoothies!

Love a bit of friendly competition? There’s loads of sport, from rowing to cycling, to the incredibly fun Tumbleator (a giant running machine) – but the stakes are a lot lower than they were at the London 2012 Games!

About the London Festival Site

The London Festival Site will take place at Queen Elizabeth Park, running alongside the four-day track cycling programme for the Commonwealth Games at the Lee Valley VeloPark.

The site will be a free-to-access space for fans to come together, bringing the Games to the capital and connecting Londoners with the West Midlands, as Birmingham gets set to host the largest multi-sport event staged in the UK since London 2012.

The London ‘Celebrating 10 Years’ Festival Site will be open from 24 July - 8 August, with a capacity of 2,500, and featuring a range of family-friendly activities, cultural events and community performances.
