We are so egg-cited to embrace the spring, the warmer weather and the longer days that come with it! You’ll be spoilt for choice this Easter with plenty of things to do at the Park – whatever your age or interest! What’s even better it that it has never been so easy to get here - With a regular and speedy seven minute train journey from St Pancras International to Stratford International and several lines coming to Stratford station, the Park is practically on your doorstep. 

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is open for action every day during the Easter holidays, from 10am – 6pm. The adventure starts with a journey up to the viewing platform, hovering 114.5 metres above the ground for stunning skyline views of London. The fun distorting mirrors are popular with kids as they turn the view upside down! Furthermore, you can educate the young ones as we display facts about the popular London attractions on our interactive touchscreens. 

Why not descent back down to Earth in The Slide – London’s most hair-raising experience? The Slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit takes riders on an exhilarating ride through 12 twists, loops and curves in the 178 meter long tunnel, which makes it both the highest and longest tunnel slide in the world! Tickets for general entry to the ArcelorMittal Orbit and The Slide almost sold out last year, so we strongly advise booking online and in advance!

Taking place throughout the entire Easter holidays, the popular funfair will take over Stratford Waterfront. Bringing a collection of exciting and adrenaline-fuelled rides, children can prepare for hours of energy-filled fun with dodgems, jumping frogs and carousels galore. The funfair will open from 12 midday – 9pm every day apart from wristband days (Tuesday 4 and 11 April), which open from 12 midday – 6pm and allow for unlimited rides between allocated times. Why not bring the family to London Aquatics Centre and duck, jump, run and dive off the large inflatable obstacle course at the AquaSplash and Extreme AquaSplash sessions? Places are filling fast, so make sure you book in advance and bring the whole family down this April! If you’re looking for other ways to make a splash, then why not bring the family down for a swimming or diving session?

Or, if your kid fancies themselves as the next Dame Sarah Storey or Sir Chris Hoy, then let them follow the footsteps and tyre-paths of the athletes from the London 2012 Games! Bring your aspiring young athletes to Lee Valley VeloPark for some cycling fun, with an opportunity to ride on the 42 degree velodrome! The wheelie good fun doesn’t stop there, as there are plenty of opportunities to get stuck in with BMX and mountain biking sessions too, with everything from beginner’s sessions to the more competent riders. These sessions sell out quickly, so be sure to book online and in advance!

The box that rocks will also be hosting an egg-cellent mix of sporting activities throughout the Easter holidays. Join us at the Copper Box Arena for a fun and healthy alternative to traditional holiday camps, for boys and girls aged from 5 – 12 years old. Each day consists of different activities including swimming at the London Aquatics Centre, games, arts and crafts, and other egg-stremely fun Easter themed activities! These will be taking place from Monday 3 – Friday 7, Monday 10 – Thursday 13, and Monday 17 – Thursday 20 April. 

If that’s not enough egg-citement for now, then be sure to bring your pride and watch the London Lions in the Box That Rocks. First of all, they take on Newcastle Eagles on Wednesday 5 April, and then London’s only professional basketball team tip off against Cheshire Phoenix on Friday 21 April in what promises to be an egg-silirating match.

If the kids like to celebrate music, movement and art, then why not take advantage of the free three-day cheerleading class at Timber Lodge Cafe? The workshop combines multiple elements of dance for hours of high-energy fun! The sessions take place from 9am – 3pm from the 5 – 7 April. You must book in advance to take part – so don’t miss out and get in early. Bring it on! 

There are hundreds of acres of beautiful parklands at the Park, which you can explore on our trails and playgrounds. The sporty ones amongst us who want to relive the 2012 Games can measure themselves up against the world’s best athletes in our London 2012 trail. Additionally, young detectives can unlock the Park’s secret missions and collect stamps along the way in our interactive Children’s trail. 

For the creative kids, why not come and enjoy the 64 bits exhibition? Show the children how far technology has come in the last three decades in this three week long display, taking place from Thursday 30 March – Friday 21 April at Here East. Explore the world wide web, the history and the future in this completely free event. You can browse the very first website from 1991, enjoy the first web comic, order a pizza on the first transactional website, create your own digital city and even take home your very own portrait made up from computer coding!

The popular boat tours and swan pedalos will return on Saturday 1 April! Relax and unwind on a guided boat tour along the river than runs through the Park and learn more about the beautiful landscape and iconic venues in the Park. Or, let loose on the swan pedalos and entertain yourself on the river! The tours are accessible on the pontoon adjacent to the London Aquatics Centre, simply turn up and enjoy (subject to availability).
