The stretch of land running between Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Royal Parks is known as Cody Wilds. Gasworks Dock Partnership and Thames21, two charitable organisations dedicated to improving London's rivers and waterways, have reached the final round in the prestigious national Grow Wild flagship competition that is supported by Kew Gardens and the Big Lottery fund.

Grow Wild are offering one community in England the chance to receive £120,000 in funding to create an inspiring wild flower haven for everyone to enjoy – and you can help decide who wins.

London Legacy Development Corporation, the organisation responsible for the long-term planning, maintenance and delivery of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, is delivering the Leaway (a continuous walking and cycling route from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park down to the Thames) in partnership with the boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets.

As part of the delivery of the Leaway, the London Legacy Development Corporation is supporting the Grow Wild bid relating to Cody Wilds, a key component of the Leaway.

If the bid is successful, the opportunity will be provided for thousands of volunteers and school children to play a part in the transformation of over kilometre of riverside towpath and the creation of new reed beds, woodlands and wildflower meadows.
