Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park boat tours extended

Press Release 11/09/2014

Over 5,000 people took the opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery for the first time on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s waterways throughout the summer. Demand for public boat tours on the Park’s waterways proved to be so great that tours will continue to run until the end of the year.

Over the summer Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park opened its waterways for the public to enjoy for the first time and now visitors will be able to experience the Park by water for another four months.

Boat tours start from Stratford Waterfront near the London Aquatics Centre and head north on Waterworks River taking in a number of sights including the Park’s gardens, venues and artwork. Tickets for the 45 minute tour cost just £8 for adults, £4 for children (under 3s free) and £20 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and can be bought on the day from the boat operators Lee & Stort Boat Co Ltd at their pontoon. Private events and groups bookings can be organised by contacting Lee & Stort Boat Co Ltd. Tours will be running until 31 December subject to bad weather, adverse river conditions and public holidays.
