“This is an incredibly exciting moment for many of us who watched our Paralympic swimmers do so well at London 2012. National Paralympic Day is the first opportunity we will have to see them back in action in the London Aquatics Centre that was such a centrepiece of the London Games.
“It is fantastic that we will have such a high calibre of GB swimmers competing as part of the activity on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park that day and I look forward to cheering them all on to victory a second time.”
In addition to the elite sports competitions at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, there will be the opportunity to meet Paralympians, have a go at numerous disability and inclusive sports and visitors should prepare to be amazed by the artistic performances of the Mayor of London’s Liberty festival, which will once again inspire audiences with the very best of disability arts.
