CHANGES TO CANAL PATH ACCESS

Due to work on the Canal Park project, there will be temporary closures of the Lee Navigation canal towpath between 1 September and end November 2014. This is needed to carry out works on the canal edge – however, safe pedestrian and cycling diversions will be put in place. The construction working hours will take place between 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 1pm Saturdays.

The Canal Park project will turn the towpath along the Lee Navigation canal on the west of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into a new natural space with a variety of landscapes and plants for local residents and visitors to enjoy, and will begin to open from January 2014.
