Exciting Leisure Opportunities at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Press Release Business 01/09/2023
Eleven years on from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is looking for leisure companies interested in helping to further enliven the Park experience for millions of annual visitors and to unlock some of the commercial opportunity this represents.
The Park has amazing spaces in the heart of the Park set amongst world-class sporting and cultural venues that are ripe for development which can be explored with the right partners.
As the new cultural quarter at East Bank starts to open this year with two new university campuses at UCL and UAL’s London College of Fashion, the Park’s student population will rise to more than 10,000. The universities will soon be joined by a new Sadler’s Wells dance theatre, the V&A East Museum and BBC Music Studios adding a further 1.5 million visits a year to the Park.
Nathan Homer, Chief Commercial Officer at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, said: “The Park is coming alive with millions of visitors, residents, students and workers. There are significant opportunities to meet the demand for more leisure activities so we want to hear from commercial operators who share our vision to make this one of the capital’s great visitor destinations every single day of the year.
“Our research has shown that people would like diverse attractions from fun, social activities to extreme heart racing thrills and adventures – and everything in between. We’re open to the best innovative ideas so if you feel your business can bring something brilliant to the Park then come and talk to us.”
