The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) was seeking to appoint a tenant to occupy, operate and maintain the Timber Lodge café in the north of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on a 10 year lease.
Nestled in the stunning natural landscape of the north of the Park, this fantastic café and event space provides visitors with a relaxing space to sit and chat over a drink and something to eat.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its venues collectively attract over six million visitors annually, with footfall expected to increase significantly as we welcome our East Bank partners, including the V&A, BBC, Sadler’s Wells and UAL: London College of Fashion, as well as UCL East and 10,000+ students entering new on-Park student accommodation from this month.
The Park is free to visit every day of the week, and home to internationally famous sporting venues as well as major events, parklands, playgrounds, housing and community facilities. The park has some of the best transport links in the city.
Timber Lodge is near to the burgeoning residential areas such as Chobham Manor, East Village and East Wick and adjacent to Tumbling Bay Playground where kids discover new adventures. Timber Lodge Cafe presents an exclusive, adaptable space benefiting from consistent high foot traffic. En-route to Lee Valley VeloPark, Hockey and Tennis Centre, and across Park from Copper Box Arena which brings footfall in terms of spectators and participants.
Beyond its role as a café, Timber Lodge stands as a beacon of sustainability with its energy-efficient design and controlled natural ventilation. Featuring a primary and secondary kitchen suitable for external service, the venue boasts versatile event space that can function as a single expansive room or be partitioned into two areas. The venue’s charm is further enhanced by access to the event lawn, solidifying its position as a beloved cornerstone within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
