Come and explore the Park as you’ve never seen it before – bathed in stunning lights. Light Nights is a free celebration with fire and light performances and atmospheric lighting within the trees and landscape.

Discover the beautifully illuminated Tumbling Bay playground after dark while listening to the history and sounds of the Park’s industrial landscape through a sound installation by local artist Jim Carey. Marvel at the stilt-walkers, fire-jugglers and join in the lantern-making workshops.

There will be stalls, dancers and a Mechanical Menagerie – a skeleton-driven punk-steam caravan that spits fire, as well as seasonal specials including mulled wine and pumpkin soup from the Unity Kitchen Café in the Timber Lodge – lots of bright ideas on a dark evening.

Light Nights will be held from 1 – 3 November, 4pm – 9pm. It is free and suitable for all of the family.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is already becoming a must-visit destination and this will continue once the south of the Park fully opens in spring 2014. We are on track to deliver a truly amazing Park and a fantastic legacy for east London.”
