Overview
Together with Pudding Mill, Bridgewater Triangle forms part of one of five new neighbourhoods on the Park. It will be a peaceful and green new residential-led neighbourhood that has a strong relationship with Waterworks River, the Greenway and Pudding Mill Allotments and which improves access to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford High Street Stratford and beyond.
Vision

Vision
Sitting between Waterworks River, the Greenway and Pudding Mill Lane neighbourhood centre, Bridgewater Triangle will be a new high-quality, family-friendly neighbourhood.
Drawing on the diverse landscapes around it - the Greenway, the Pudding Mill allotments, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the riverine landscape along Waterworks River - Bridgewater Triangle will prioritise green, active streetscapes and play.
The peaceful, green neighbourhood will make it easy for all to live an active lifestyle. There will be a variety of types of housing set around courtyards that are designed to attract and meet the needs of all, particularly families. The neighbourhood will deliver around 575 new homes of which 50% will be affordable.
Bridgewater Triangle will be well-connected to Stratford High Street, the Greenway and the Park - as well as to the new neighbourhood centre at Pudding Mill with its local high street, centred around the DLR station and significant workspace, local shops, places to eat, drink and socialise.
Site Context

Site Context
Bridgewater Triangle is a 2.4 hectare site a triangular shaped peninsula located at the southern tip of Queen Elizabeth
Olympic Park in the London Borough of Newham.
The site is bounded by the Greenway to the south, the Waterworks River to the east and the railway to the north. Between the railway and the site are the Pudding Mill Allotments.
It forms part of the Pudding Mill archipelago, combining the new neighbourhood centre of Pudding Mill and residential neighbourhood of Bridgewater. Plans for Pudding Mill include new homes to meet the needs of families, a new neighbourhood centre around Pudding Mill Lane DLR station, creation of new workspace and improving connections between Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Stratford High Street and beyond.
Historically Bridgewater Triangle was occupied by industrial buildings. These were disassembled and the land converted to use as a storage site during the 2012 Olympic Games. As part of the post-Olympic legacy, the site was identified as an opportunity to deliver new housing alongside improved connections to the surrounding area with the provision of a new bridge and the reinstatement of a formerly disused riverside walkway.
Programme
Prior to constructing any homes a new bridge and works to the riverside embankment are needed. Construction of these elements will commence in 2024.
