From 2016, the Stadium becomes the new home of West Ham United FC and the National Competition Centre for athletics in the UK, as well as a major venue for other sporting events. Having already provided some of the most memorable nights in sporting history during the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, in 2015 the venue hosted the hugely successful Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in July followed by five matches during the Rugby World Cup, including the bronze play-off final between South Africa and Argentina, England vs New Zealand in the International Rugby League, and the spectacular Race of Champions in November.

Following last year's events series, transformation work at the Stadium has now resumed as we ensure the venue is ready for its new role as a permanent, multi-use venue from summer 2016.
