Lee Valley VeloPark

Track cycling, road racing, BMX or mountain biking: however you get your two-wheeled thrills, you will find it at the unrivalled Lee Valley VeloPark.

Centred on the iconic, award-winning, 6,000-seat velodrome, where Sir Chris Hoy and his Team GB and Paralympics GB compatriots set the London 2012 Games alight, Lee Valley VeloPark is the first place in the world where you can take part in these four types of cycling in one place.

Catering for all skill levels form beginners through to elite, anyone can cycle at Lee Valley VeloPark. You don't even need a bike - you can hire everything you need - so there's nothing stopping you from experiencing the fun of two wheels.

Try out an introduction to track cycling with a one hour session, or if you're already familiar with the velodrome track, why not go through the four-stage accreditation course? Alternatively, experience an adrenalin rush on the remodelled Olympic BMX track, with over 30 bumps, jumps and berms.

The floodlit one-mile road circuit is perfect for getting back on your bike if it's been a while. Or if you prefer to go off-road, there are 8km of traffic-free mountain bike trails on offer.

Whether you want to try out the activities or just grab a coffee in the café overlooking the velodrome, everyone is welcome to explore this iconic venue.

The world’s top cyclists are also flocking to Lee Valley VeloPark to compete and cement its reputation as the UK’s leading cycling hub in high profile events such as the Revolution Series and the UCI Track Cycling World Championship.

Day-to-day, the venue will support cycling’s continued growth in the UK, with programmes for people new to cycling, schools, clubs and community groups. Some sessions will need to be booked but you can ‘pay and ride’ at many others.

Car Parking
Lee Valley VeloPark will be introducing car parking tariffs, which will come into effect from Monday 25 July 2016. This is because there is an increase in drivers parking there who aren’t participating in hockey or tennis activities and customers often experience difficulties in finding parking spaces. Please visit their website for more information.

Lee Valley VeloPark has the capacity to host the full range of cycling events, including World Championships. It opened with the finale of the Revolution Series – Britain’s top track cycling competition – in March and will host the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2016, the most important track cycling event ahead of the Rio Games.

The venue will be available for hire by schools, clubs, and community groups in addition to more casual ‘pay and play’ users.

We are working with our partners to ensure the Park is linked with existing cycle routes across London.
